New limited-run flagship Nissan Qashqai Black Edition launched
Based on the top-spec Tekna, the new Nissan Qashqai Black Edition gets a host of extra styling upgrades, powered by the dCi 110 engine.
The Black Edition is the first special version of the Nissan Qashqai since its 2013 launch. As the new flagship for the range, it will be a limited edition based on the top-spec Tekna grade, with enhancements in style, safety and tech all included as standard.
Powered by the dCi 110 6-speed manual 2WD engine, the Black Edition delivers 70.6mpg combined fuel economy and CO2 emissions of just 103g/km.

This new edition includes 19" Black Ibiscus alloy wheels, Pearl Black metallic paint, front and rear styling plates and 'Black Edition' badged door entry guards. It also gets a panoramic roof as standard, which is normally a £400 extra on Tekna models.
Nissan includes a wide range of its safety systems on the Back Edition, such as Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, Forward Emergency Braking, and Blind Spot Warning.
Inside you'll find full black leather upholstery and the NissanConnect infotainment system displayed on a 7" integrated touchscreen. As well as the DAB radio and sat-nav, there is also a 360º Around View Monitor to help with low speed manoeuvres.
The top-grade Tekna version represents around a third of Qashqais sold, so it makes sense that it was used as the basis for the new Black Edition. Kieran McMenamin, Section Manager for the Qashqai, said: "Recent reveals like the Qashqai Premium Concept identify a desire and demand for Qashqais to extend towards the higher end of the segment."
This top-spec level is designed to save you money if you were adding the same kit options on a standard Tekna. According to Nissan, the saving on the Black Edition from the equivalent Tekna is £1,200.
Priced at £27,310, the Nissan Qashqai Black Edition is on sale now in a limited production run.
