Peugeot 208 prices announced

Prices and specs have been announced for the new Peugeot 208 ahead of its launch in June

Peugeot has revealed full details and prices of the 208 range, starting from £9,995 for the three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol model in entry-level Access trim.

The basic petrol engine produces 67bhp and also boasts CO2 emissions of 99g/km. Standard equipment on the most basic Access cars still includes front electric windows, central locking and rear LED lights.

Further up the range Active models start from £11,695 and come fitted with 15-inch alloys, front fog-lights, a multi-colour touch screen and Bluetooth.

Feline models top the range and are fitted with sports seats, a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch alloys and a rear spoiler. Only the 1.6-litre petrol – both naturally-aspirated and turbocharged versions – and the 1.6-litre diesel are available.

There's also a limited edition Ice Velvet edition, which is available as a three-door model only and with the 1.6-litre petrol engine. Starting at a whopping £18,495 it gets a lengthy equipment list ranging from sat-nav and parking sensors to 17-inch alloys and tinted windows.

The highlights of the engine line-up are the 1.4-litre e-HDi diesel that boasts CO2 emissions as low as 87g/km and the turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol with 156bhp.

The Peugeot 208 goes on sale in the UK from the 28th June.
