Renault ZOE Star Wars edition revealed ahead of ‘The Last Jedi’ release
1,000 Renault ZOE Star Wars will be built for the French market only, and is based loosely on Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon
Renault has announced a special edition Star Wars-themed ZOE EV exclusively for the French market, coinciding with the latest release of the Star Wars movie franchise ‘The Last Jedi.’
Only 1,000 ZOE Star Wars will be made and all are earmarked for the far away French market, therefore Star Wars fans in the UK won’t be able to get their hands on one, unless they use the force. It has been painted in a livery reminiscent of Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon with decals on the bonnet, roof and rear bumper. Customers can opt for a choice of two white paint schemes, along with a shade of grey. For those on the Dark Side of the force, a black paint colour is available too.
Inside there’s purple accents around the interior, as well as a plaque on the doorsill that further alludes to the Star Wars theme of the ZOE. It’s also equipped with a reversing camera, a Bose audio system, 17-inch wheels and built-in WiFi.
The ZOE Star Wars is the latest edition as part of Groupe Renault’s partnership with the sci-fi franchise. At the LA Motor Show, Nissan, who is part of an alliance with Renault, unveiled a whole range of Star Wars-themed prototype vehicles based on its American fleet.
‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is released in the UK this weekend. The ZOE Star Wars goes on sale to the French public in March to coincide with the release of ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story.’
