SEAT Mii by COSMOPOLITAN revealed during London Fashion Week
Finished in Violetto or Candy White, the Mii by Cosmopolitan is a new special edition that "connects with modern women"
SEAT has teamed up with Women’s fashion magazine COSMOPOLITAN to create this, the Mii by COSMOPOLITAN. The car has been created by a combination of SEAT designers, COSMOPOLITAN editors and readers over a period of 18 months.
It’s marked out by Violetto paintwork, champagne-finished door mirrors and bi-colour alloy wheels. A Candy White exterior finish is also available. The colour scheme extends to the interior where the dash, steering wheel and top section of the door trim are finished in the same vivid purple. The Alcantara seats also feature purple detailing.
Only one engine will be available in the Mii by COSMOPOLITAN when it launches in early 2017 – a 75bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. SEAT claims efficiency of 102g/km of CO2 and 64.2mpg. Standard equipment includes, air-conditioning and hill hold assist, while rear parking sensors and a 300-watt sound system are on the options list. Pricing will be announced closer to the car’s launch.
The aim of the project was apparently to design a special edition of the Mii "that connects with modern women."
SEAT's Global Marketing Director, Suzanne Franz, said: "The Mii by COSMOPOLITAN is being designed to meet women’s needs in terms of daily usage. This new car will go beyond aesthetics, it is a functional vehicle where the design has a purpose".
This isn't the first fashion brand to bring its own flair to the Mii city car - the Mii by MANGO in 2014 featured unique Alcantara seats with MANGO stitching, a hook on the glovebox to hang a bag and specifically-designed floor mats and door sills.
