New Skoda Fabia gets unique dash customisation
Skoda lets new Fabia owners add a touch of personality by adding their own images to the dashboard
Those planning to buy a new Skoda Fabia supermini can now add pictures of whatever they like onto the main dash panel, and remove it as they wish - adding a unique touch of customisation to the car's interior.
Personality is all the rage in the premium supermini sector, with cars such as the new MINI and Citroen DS3 offering a huge array of trim and colour options. But Skoda has never really offered much choice for owners to make their mark on their models until now.
The picture costs £14 for the standard size, and is applied using a self-adhesive strip (either self- or dealer-fit). Customers can visit Skoda's E-Shop website and select one of the existing templates or create their own. The brand suggests many people may want to add images of their family to the template.
The bonus of this particular car customisation technique is the film can be easily removed by owners wanting to sell their cars in a matter of seconds, meaning it won't affect residuals or 'ruin' the car permanently.
The new Skoda Fabia, priced from £10,600, will be available to order in the coming weeks, with UK deliveries expected in January 2015.
