On the 1.2-litre TSI Octavia hatch in S trim, that leaves you with a deposit of £2,427.79, £209 per month for the 36-month contract and an optional final payment of £6,247.21.

And the Octavia comes packed with equipment. A touchscreen infotainment system comes as standard, as does sat-nav, DAB radio and 16-inch alloy wheels. You also get Bluetooth, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, hill hold control, air-con and stop-start for increased fuel economy. The Octavia will do 57.7mpg.
