Suzuki iV-4 concept
iV-4 hints at crossover the size of a supermini to rival Dacia Duster and Nissan Juke
Suzuki has just unveiled the iV-4 concept, which previews a new compact SUV set to rival the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur.
Due to go on sale in the UK in 2015, the iV-4 concept falls between a Nissan Juke and Dacia Duster in size. It also uses Suzuki’s latest ALLGRIP four-wheel drive enabling it tackle the toughest of terrain. The bright colour is intended to look like the sky reflected in a skyscraper.
Suzuki stays true to its traditional SUV design with the iV-4 giving it sharp but sleek lines and large wheels. There's a few futuristic design elements in the iV-4 too, with an illuminated grille and fog light with built-in laser sensor on the roof.
Another key element to the iV-4 is personalisation. Suzuki will allow customers to opt for various different exterior parts, which can be finished in various colours and textures. The idea is to allow customers to create a car which is right for them and matches their lifestyle. The “i” stands for “individuality”, “V” for “vehicle”, and “4” for “4 wheel-drive”.
The production car will be built in Hungary on a shorter version of the platform underpinning the SX4 S-Cross.
It’ll come in two or four-wheel drive, with prices starting at around £11,500.
