With the large cross-brace supplied, it’s well worth keeping this kit in your boot to take the sting out of changing wheels. And, thanks to the oil filter wrench, sockets, screwdrivers and spanners, it’s also handy for basic servicing. However, the bargain price gives a clue to the quality of the kit included. The ratchet, sockets and wrenches fail to impress, and the case is badly moulded, so the tools tended to work free.
