Ford Street Racing

Publisher: Empire Platform: Xb (£10), also PS2 and PC

Team play is the key to this budget title. Order your buddy to block opponents, or allow you to tuck in close behind him to gain a speed advantage. The licensed vehicles aren’t simulated – Ford Street Racing is more like an arcade game in that respect – and it all feels a little bland compared to some of the better-presented titles on the market. But for the price, it offers good entertainment for a while.
