FreePlay is the producer of all things wind-up – but this kit left us rather confused. It connects to your electronic device via a flying lead with a cigar lighter socket on the end, which means that, bizarrely, you still need a cable and plug for your phone. During winding, the LED glowed when the correct speed was reached, but even after two minutes connected to the MDA, there was barely enough power.
