How it works: You book a range of cars and vans by the hour, day, week or month and pay for the fuel. Arrange a slot online or by phone, then simply pick the vehicle up, swipe a smartcard and away you go.
The scheme operates in London, Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton, Southampton, Guildford and Maidstone, and the firm says members typically save £2,000 a year by using Streetcar rather than running their own vehicle.
