Sturdy wicker basket from toy store Toys’R’Us adds a contemporary twist to the traditional picnic 

set, with a multi-purpose corkscrew, colourful napkins and a comfortable carry handle. The four-person Sandringham is well built and comes with porcelain plates, glass cups and ceramic salt and pepper pots. It’s missing a sharp knife, and there’s no separate storage for cold food, but for £40, it’s not a bad buy.
