Clarke gets so much right with this wall-mounted automatic reel, which uses a similar spring loaded mechanism to our champion.
It works well, reliably releasing and locking. Keen price will tempt some, but you only get a 20-metre hose and the connectors could be better. Plus, it’s the only reel without an auto water stop, so you have to turn off the tap to change accessories.
