Kit: Premium Universal SmartPhone Holder

It may be universal, but this sleek holder from Kondor is best suited to larger handsets.

Best price: £14.99, Type: Screen

It may be universal, but this sleek holder from Kondor is best suited to larger handsets – our small iPhone 4 didn’t fall out, but did move around in the case. A button snaps the side arms open, and the handset is held in soft, rubber pads. It was super stable on our country lane test, plus the mount relies on suction rather than adhesive for grip, making it easy to remove, although a mount dish would be needed for the dash. A ball and socket hinge provides adjustment of 45 degrees in all directions.
