Rimac Nevera - Best hypercars
The Rimac Nevera might be an all-electric powered hypercar, but that doesn’t mean it's short on excitement or dynamism
Unlike other cars on this list, the Rimac Nevera is powered by an all-electric powertrain, but the absence of a screaming V10 or V12 doesn’t mean it’s any less deserving of its place among the best hypercars ever made.
Each wheel is powered by its own electric motor, producing a combined output of 1,888bhp and a mind-boggling 2,360Nm or torque. This means the Rimac Nevera can go from 0-62mph in just 1.97 seconds and reach a top speed of 258mph – making it the second fastest electric car on sale behind the Aspark Owl SP600. The Nevera isn’t a one-trick pony either, and despite its portly 2,150kg kerbweight, it’s just as engaging and dynamic to drive as cars half its weight.
This level of performance isn't exactly cheap, though, with each Nevera costing around £2 million. Running costs should be reasonable, though, as the 120kWh battery allows up to 340 miles of range on a single charge… not that running costs are going to be a deciding factor in a car of this price.
