BMW Z4
All-new roadster swaps fabric roof for coupe-cabriolet setup
The new Z4 could be the car for all seasons! Just like the 3-series, BMW has ditched its fabric roof for more modern folding hard-top mechanism, which can be raised or lowered in just 20 seconds.
Also gone is the controversial flame-surfacing, replaced by gentler curves and muscular haunches. It’s grown in size too, freeing up more space in the cabin.
From launch, customers can take their pick from three petrol engines ranging from a 201bhp 2.3-litre to the incredible 302bhp twin-turbo 3.0-litre unit, badged 35i. Prices start from £25,000 when it goes on sale this month.
