New electric vehicle grants aren’t the only carbon-busting initiatives making the headlines in the Chancellor’s budget. He has now confirmed the UK must cut its carbon emissions by 34 per cent by 2020 - and it’s pledged £405million to help us achieve that. That money will go towards advanced green manufacturing in Britain to drive new technology and investment in small-scale projects.
£525million is also being pledged specifically for investment in a new network of wind turbines.
