The award for the strangest car at LA went to the Capstone CMT 380.

Featuring 96 lithium-ion batteries and a 30kW biodiesel-powered micro-turbine – basically a jet engine – the hybrid supercar does 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds and 150mph. It has a range of 80 miles, which extends to 500 miles with the use of the turbine. Only 10 will be made, each costing over £170,000.
