Three car garage: £100k for an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, Honda e and Volvo V90 Cross Country
We have a generous budget of £100,000 and three empty spaces in our garage. It’s time to explore the Auto Express classifieds to find the perfect trio.

With £100,000 to splurge on three cars, you should expect to have some pretty tasty metal on your driveway – and that’s exactly what we’ve found on the Auto Express used car classifieds. A bona fide super-saloon, a classy estate with genuine off-road potential and a retro-styled future classic should have all bases covered…
Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio - £50,500

Given that the Giulia Quadrifoglio costs a chunky £84,545 brand new these days, this model, which takes up just over half our budget, looks like a great deal – especially when you factor in that early examples still cost around £35,000. So depreciation will be slim, but that’s not why you buy a fast Alfa Romeo. First off, this particular car has an ideal spec with Montreal Green paint (a £2,000 option) and standard-fit 19-inch alloys. Secondly, the Giulia Quadrifoglio remains one of the very best super-saloons on the market (and arguably the finest looking), with a wonderful 500bhp twin-turbocharged V6 and engaging chassis ensuring that every drive is to be savoured.

Honda e - £13,990

As we’ve noted with a few other of our three-car garages, having an EV for short runabouts makes a load of sense. With two ICE cars doing the heavy lifting, you don’t need a particularly long range either – making this Honda e extremely appealing. The Japanese brand didn’t sell a lot of these before pulling the plug in 2023, so those crazy concept car details have definitely not softened over the years due to over-familiarity, plus it has lots of kit and drives well. We think there’s a real possibility this funky little car will get a big following in the future, too.

Volvo V90 Cross Country - £33,695

Volvo recently brought back the Cross Country name on its EX30 electric crossover – a badge that had earned plenty of acclaim over the years on chunky estate cars with genuine off-road ability. Proof that you don’t need an SUV to conquer muddy farm lanes, the all-wheel-drive V90 Cross Country has more than enough power, with 310bhp on tap and plenty of space thanks to an incredible 723-litre boot. This 2020 example has barely been run in with fewer than 20,000 miles on the clock. Volvo has said it’s looking into doing more Cross Country EVs, but estates aren’t on the cards – so grab this V90 while you can.
