Jeep celebrates 75th Anniversary models at Geneva
Geneva show debut for Jeep Wrangler, Renegade, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Models
Jeep is marking a big birthday this year, and dealers will soon be offering 75th Anniversary special editions across the entire model line-up to celebrate. The brand has shown four of the new 75th Anniversary-badged models at the Geneva Motor Show, alongside a trio of iconic historic Jeeps to help set the scene.
Also under the Geneva show spotlight will be the new Grand Cherokee SRT Night. It’s a special edition of the fastest Jeep ever with a satin-finish ‘stealth black’ treatment for the brightwork, and available in Black, Red, Silver and Granite paint. There are interior trim upgrades, too, but the 462bhp, 6.4-litre V8’s output is unchanged – not that anyone’s saying the regular SRT’s sub-5-second 0-60mph time shows any lack of commitment.
The new Renegade 75th Anniversary features unique Jungle Green livery, and a 168bhp 1.4-litre MultiAir engine with nine-speed automatic gearbox. Equipment highlights include 18-inch Low Gloss Bronze rims, and bespoke fabric seats with Tangerine stitching.
The Cherokee 75th Anniversary comes with 198bhp MultiJet turbodiesel power in Brilliant Black paint and Nappa leather seats – again with contrasting stitching. The spec sheet also includes an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, bi-xenon headlamps and a panoramic sunroof.
There’s a Wrangler 75th Anniversary, too, this time in Sarge Green and with 3.6-litre V6 power. Look out for its body-colour grille and Low Gloss Bronze headlamps surrounds to match the alloys, a power-dome bonnet, limited-slip diff, leather seats and premium nav/sound system.
The range-topping Grand Cherokee in 75th Anniversary trim includes a Brilliant Black paintjob, a 247bhp 3.0 V6, and a ‘fully-loaded’ spec list with 20-inch alloys and Quadra-Lift air suspension.
