Kia finished third overall in our 2024 Driver Power customer satisfaction survey. Owners loved their cars’ infotainment tech, value for money, running costs and practicality, which are all characteristics that the EV3 should be able to deliver on.

The EV3 hasn’t been tested by Euro NCAP, but thanks to its long list of standard safety equipment, which includes blind-spot warning on every model, we expect Kia’s newcomer to achieve strong marks.

At the top of the range, the GT-Line S model adds some innovative tech, such as remote parking, where you can get out of the car and guide it into or out of a parking space while standing next to the car. This model is also the only version to get a 360-degree camera system, parking collision avoidance and blind-spot monitoring.

Key standard safety featuresEuro NCAP safety ratings
  • Forward collision avoidance with pedestrian, cyclist and junction detection
  • Adaptive cruise control with stop and go
  • Intelligent speed limit assist
  • Safe exit warning
  • Driver attention warning

Warranty

All Kias come with a seven-year warranty, which is among the longest available from any brand in the UK without any servicing requirements necessary. It’s also transferable to subsequent owners if the first sells the car on or trades it in at the end of a finance package.

In addition to this, the EV3’s battery is covered by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty, which guarantees the pack will be capable of maintaining at least 70 per cent of its original capacity once it reaches that time or distance.

Servicing

The EV3 is available with a three-year/ 30,000-mile service plan, which costs around £420 at the time of writing. This sum can either be paid in full up front, or interest-free over the course of 10 months.
