New 207mph Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima V8 announced
Maserati’s final V8 models will be rolled out this year and the Ghibli 334 Ultima V8 has been created to give them a fitting send-off
This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will see the unveiling of the new Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima - powered by the last ever Maserati V8.
The show will also see the Levante V8 Ultima make its debut, with both cars being powered by a 564bhp, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Maserati says the Ghibli 334 Ultima “pays homage to the final chapter of its iconic lineage of V8 engine-powered grand tourers”.
The name references the Ghibli 334 Ultima’s top speed in kilometres, meaning the V8 super saloon is capable of 207mph - 5mph more than the range-topping Trofeo version. Performance specifications haven’t been revealed but we expect the Ghibli 334 Ultima to reduce the Trofeo’s 4.3-second 0-62mph time as well. Goodwood attendees will be able to hear the V8 roar up the hillclimb route.
In terms of exterior and interior tweaks there’s distinctive ‘V8 Ultima’ branding on the front wings and on the seat headrests, 21-inch wheels plus a carbon fibre front splitter.
Exclusivity is assured with just 103 units of each Ultima model to be produced, we expect pricing for the Ghibli model to exceed the £118,020 asking price of the Trofeo.
