New special edition Kia Niro Connect goes on sale from £25,995

Self-charging and plug-in hybrid versions of the new Kia Niro Connect are now available

The new Kia Niro Connect special edition has gone on sale in the UK, starting from £25,995 as a self-charging hybrid or £31,355 as a plug-in hybrid.

The added-value Connect models sit above the base ‘2’ and below the ‘3’ in both the Niro’s self-charging and plug-in hybrid ranges. Connect adds a number of features not available on the base-spec ‘2’, such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen with sat-nav, a USB charger in the front console, chromed interior and exterior door handles plus cloth and leather upholstery.

Three extra paint colours - Runway Red, Ocean Blue and Steel Grey - are available at no additional charge. Other standard features on the Connect include a 4.2-inch colour screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, forward collision-avoidance assist and a towing pack.

The Niro isn’t the only Kia to gain a new Connect version. The XCeed Edition model has been replaced by the XCeed Connect, the newcomer adding the same 4.2-inch colour information display in the instrument cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen found in the Niro Connect as well as exclusive ‘Fusion Orange’ exterior paint.

The XCeed Connect retains 18-inch wheels, power lumbar support, heated doors mirrors from the old Edition model and like the Niro Connect, will sit between the ‘2’ and ‘3’ in terms of price.

That pricing for the XCeed Connect starts from £21,775, bumping it up by £565 over the outgoing Edition model. Both the Niro Connect and XCeed Connect are available to order in the UK now.
