Peugeot updates 2008 and e-2008 with new trim levels for 2022
More equipment as standard for Peugeot 2008 SUV and all-electric e-2008
Peugeot has given the 2008 compact SUV a trim and equipment revision for 2022, in both internal-combustion engined form and all-electric e-2008 guise. Only a few weeks ago we saw the 208 and e-208 updated in a similar manner, bringing two new trim levels to the range.
Just like the French firm’s supermini, the small SUV’s entry-level Active Premium has been replaced by Active Premium+ and above that Allure Premium is replaced by Allure Premium+. Order books for the new look line-up are already open.
Changes to standard equipment mirror those of the new 208 range, with the 2008 Active Premium+ receiving dark tinted rear and rear side windows as well as gloss black roof rails. The entry-level Active Premium+ still has a £22,735 starting price tag.
The new Allure Premium+ trim level gets sporty aluminium-finished pedals, plus Peugeot’s ‘Connected 3D Navigation’ including a three-year subscription to ‘Connected Navigation Pack’. This adds speed camera alerts, real-time traffic updates and voice recognition for navigation and phone functions. Pricing for the Allure Premium+ remains unchanged at £24,335. Above this, there’s the range-topping GT model which starts from £27,885.
Peugeot is persisting with its ‘Power of Choice’ option for customers to choose between fully electric and internal combustion powertrains. The 2008 can be had with 1.2-litre PureTech engines or as the all-electric e-2008 - powered by a 50kWh battery now providing up to 214 miles of range thanks to an optimisation update increasing the electric model’s reach.
