One-off Skoda Enyaq iV FestEVal revealed

This Skoda Enyaq FestEVal aims to be the ideal transport for festival goers

With summer in full swing Skoda has decided now is the perfect time to unveil a camper version of its all-electric Enyaq SUV, called the ‘FestEVal’. As you can deduce from the name, it’s ‘pitched’ as a do-it-all camping car for festivals, featuring a host of equipment to make it a home from home.

No camper would be complete without an additional area for sleeping, so Skoda has equipped a roof tent on the FestEVal. It’s accessed via a ladder that’s stored inside the tent when it’s not being used. There’s space for two adults and it comes with an integrated torch and solar powered fan.

There’s more sleeping space inside the cabin too, with room for two more on the back seats. A double bed frame extends across the rear seats when they’re folded flat, and Skoda says it can be put up in minutes. Mattress cushions are present to provide some extra comfort.

Fellow Czech manufacturer EGOE has been tasked with creating a toolbox full of camping essentials, which includes a gas cooker, collapsible sink, food preparation area and storage bins. This unit slides out from the boot and can be used without compromising the rear sleeping area. Collapsible camping chairs and a table can also help with hosting duties.

Inside the FestEVal we see levels of equipment taken from the top-spec Sportline Plus model with a 13-inch infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster and a head-up display. There’s internet connection on hand too with capacity for eight devices and cabin preconditioning features as well. There are also five ‘Design Selection’ interiors with varying cabin materials and colours: Loft, Lounge, Suite, EcoSuite and SportLine.

The Enyaq FestEVal is based on the larger ‘80’ battery model so it receives an 82kWh battery pack with a range of 338 miles, losing just 1 mile of range to the normal 80 model. Charging of speeds up to 135kW make an 80 per cent charge possible in under 30 minutes.

Despite the popularity of the California Camper from parent company Volkswagen, Skoda maintains the Enyaq iV 80 FestEVal is a one-off with no plans to put it into series production.
