This is the ‘do nothing’ approach, and is most likely to leave you stranded. The summer tyre had the least grip in both tests, and this was a new tyre – not worn rubber most of us drive on.
Just driving to the test area was tricky, with braking and cornering on snow poor at no more than walking pace.
