Maserati's first four-seat convertible looks just as good with the roof up or down

Maserati's first four-seat convertible is every bit as beautiful as we'd hoped. Fitted with a fabric roof– instead opf a folding metal roof as first thought - power comes from a 433bhp version ofMaserati’s new 4.7-litre V8 engine.

The six-speed ZF semi-auto gearbox will be equipped with the firm’s own ‘MC-Shift’ technology to improveperformance, and can switch between ratios in only 100 milliseconds, while it takes just 5.4 seconds to accelerate from 0-62mph - and with the roof up it will reach 177mph.

The GranCabrio will go on salein the spring, and although prices have not yet been confirmed, it isexpected to sell for around £100,000.
