Four-door coupés

Audi A5 Sportback, VW Passat CC (Issue 1,083)

auto express

Our team is always on the lookout for fantastic photoshoot locations, and the angular outline of a contemporary aircraft hangar at the RAF Museum Cosford, Shrops, was the perfect backdrop for our pair of sleek four-door coupés.

Its huge proportions and straight lines were the perfect counterpoint to the curvy cars in this test. The stylish and practical A5 took the win in a close contest, with its classy interior, powerful engine and great refinement.

The Passat CC emerged as a comfortable and distinctive alternative, but couldn’t quite match the Audi newcomer.
