Polestar 4 - Boot space, comfort & practicality
The boot is slightly small for a car this size but, even without a rear window, there’s a bright and airy cabin with plenty of space

It might sit below the Polestar 3 in the firm’s line up, but the Polestar 4 has a longer wheelbase than its sibling so interior space is impressive. The sloping roofline doesn’t impact on headroom and the Polestar 4 is actually wider than the Polestar 3 as well.
There are some storage compartments dotted around the cabin which are all pretty average in size, plus a big 15-litre compartment within the centre console. The rear armrest doesn’t incorporate the pop-out tablet and smartphone holders of the Polestar 3’s, with just cupholders embedded within.
Where the Polestar 4 bests the Polestar 3 is boot space because there's a generous 526-litre capacity back there - including 31 litres below the removable boot floor. That’s not as much as the Porsche Macan Electric’s 540 litres and some way off the Tesla Model Y’s 854 litres though. The lip also sits high up and the sloping rear portion of the body makes it a little awkward to load large objects.
There’s no self-levelling air suspension like you get in the Polestar 3, although the towing capacity is still commendable at 2,000kg for the Dual motor car and 1,500kg for the Single motor.
