In second is a people carrier that’s fun to drive. SEAT’s Altea has a sporty set-up, which owners give the thumbs-up. In third is the Nissan Qashqai – a true all-rounder, which could have slotted into the compact family, SUV or MPV classes. Ford will be happy to see its S-MAX has pushed VW’s Touran into fifth position.
