It’s a tough market to crack, but the Jaguar XF has got this formula spot-on. Although it didn’t quite manage to defend its overall Driver Power crown, the British model is still top of its class, with its great combination of style and sporting pedigree.

Up next is the previous-generation Mercedes E-Class – a more traditional premium car that’s a big hit with buyers. Jaguar’s old S-Type provides luxury in a tempting second-hand package, resulting in a top 10 finish overall and a bronze medal here.
