Navigon 40 Plus
Price: £149.99 Traffic? TMC
A good mid-range unit, and well priced – this Navigon is £70 cheaper than the Garmin 2360, yet still has TMC. Includes the same traffic data (without a bulky aerial), and the widescreen display is easy to understand. The sleek mount isn’t widely adjustable, but the device is quick – taking seven seconds to plot our route to France and six to show us the journey to Glasgow. Again, MyRoutes technology is the jewel in its crown here. But to get the live traffic functionality of the TomTom Via Live 120, you’ll have to upgrade to the 40 Premium Live – which is £10 more than the TomTom. And the 40 Plus trails on features and ease of use.
