Mio Spirit V575TV
Price: £150 Traffic? TMC
Near-identical to the V575TV, with the TV function making the device slightly thicker and heavier. But until the digital signal is strong enough (we’ll have to wait for the switchover), the TV isn’t worth paying for – so you’re stumping up for a bulkier unit that performs just like the £110 V575, for the price of the Navigon 40 Plus. And it doesn’t compare well with the latter. The flimsy mount is tricky to adjust, and it was slower – taking eight seconds to reroute and 20 seconds to work out our way to Glasgow. Getting back to the main menu proves tricky, and it has TMC, rather than live traffic.
